Last week I got to enter the home of Sarah and her family. If your an instagram fanatic like me (yes I admit it) you may have already seen her account @sarahplustwoandjax. If not then head on over and have a look. It’s full of gorgeous pics, playtime, chubby little legs, pooh bears and little anecdotes of spending her days with her boys. She already takes great pics herself but the aim was to get mum in the pics doing what she does best being a mum to her kids and wife to her hubby Alex. Something for Sarah and her family to look back on and remember this time in her life in this home they have created together. What it looked like but more importantly what it felt like….
Since it’s Mother’s day I wanted to get Sarah’s view on being a mum. There is something uplifting, comforting and relieving to hear the thoughts and experiences of other mothers.
Motherhood…. In a child’s eyes, a mother is a goddess. She can be glorious or terrible, benevolent or filled with wrath, but she commands love either way. I am convinced that this is the greatest power in the universe. Motherhood….It’s beautiful, powerful, challenging, heart melting, consuming, joyful….. I love being a mum. My two boys challenge me every single day. Somedays it’s easy and everything flows, other days we struggle but most days it’s perfect and I know that I wouldn’t have it any other way. I keep journals for my boys so I can remember the things we did and the things they said. I take lots of pictures of everything and nothing. I love that they are little and I can protect them, I want them to stay small but I also want them to grow and watch them turn into fine young men. What a creative beautiful job I was given. Wishing you all a Happy Mother’s Day! xox
