Dreamy light

The year has nearly come to an end.  What a crazy year it has been for me personally.  I don’t think i’ve ever been so busy in my  personal life which has meant less time creatively.  We have really had to sit down the last couple of weeks and reassess things…  Just because it will soon be 2014 it doesn’t really change much for us.  In fact things may become a lot busier for us personally but more on that later!  This gorgeous session was taken in September and I am finally getting around to blogging it!  It was beautiful afternoon at Wisteria Gardens and we were fortunate to get some dreamy light (a photographers happy place)!  It was a perfect afternoon with 3 perfect girls!!

Saturday afternoon

How do you spend your saturdays?  Lately our weekends have been jam packed with things to do.  Though most saturdays we tend to get an afternoon in at the skate park.

Here’s a little snippet of our saturday afternoon …….

p.s. hubby is a bit of a big kid!

Lifestyle session…. Sydney

A collection of photographs of one of the last gorgeous winter afternoons spent here in Sydney by this beautiful family before they returned to New Zealand.  You may recognise them from this post.  When they first arrived here in Australia, Peppa was just a baby (and a big one at that!) but now she is a walking, talking toddler who know what she wants!     Oh how fast they grow!

Musings over family….. Sydney family photographer

Well we are now over half way through the year……. Where did that time go?  I feel like now that I have a family of my own time rushes by so fast.

Our year has been packed full, I wouldn’t call it a cruisey one!  We have had our fair share of ups and downs but at the end of the day we have each other

and I can’t help but feel ever so grateful!  Which brought to my mind this truth:

“The most important work you will ever do will be within the walls of your own home”   Harold B Lee

Probably why I love family photography so much, it is special and dear to my heart.

Meet Jacqui and her family.  She had been saying to me for quite some time “we need to have a family portrait done!” but the timing was never right.

Then finally she booked in and it was done!  I could have probably photographed them for another hour but we had the most beautiful sunset over Cronulla beach and then it was over.

If my memory serves me correctly it was either their first family photo with all the children or it had been a long time since they had it done.

Thank you for sharing a bit of your family with me Jacqui!

Enjoy xo
