Musings over family….. Sydney family photographer

Well we are now over half way through the year……. Where did that time go?  I feel like now that I have a family of my own time rushes by so fast.

Our year has been packed full, I wouldn’t call it a cruisey one!  We have had our fair share of ups and downs but at the end of the day we have each other

and I can’t help but feel ever so grateful!  Which brought to my mind this truth:

“The most important work you will ever do will be within the walls of your own home”   Harold B Lee

Probably why I love family photography so much, it is special and dear to my heart.

Meet Jacqui and her family.  She had been saying to me for quite some time “we need to have a family portrait done!” but the timing was never right.

Then finally she booked in and it was done!  I could have probably photographed them for another hour but we had the most beautiful sunset over Cronulla beach and then it was over.

If my memory serves me correctly it was either their first family photo with all the children or it had been a long time since they had it done.

Thank you for sharing a bit of your family with me Jacqui!

Enjoy xo

Big sister, little brother……

Another session from the Autumn mini’s.  I got to spend one lovely april afternoon with these two gorgeous children.

I just loved photographing and observing the relationship between this big sister and her little brother.

And as you can see from the picture’s it was just beautiful!

We are half way through the year…… where did that time go?  I recently ran a beginners course on how to improve your photography skills.  My final words were “document and print, document and print”!!  Here are a few of my favourite personal photos from 2013 thus far…….. Printed version I will hopefully show you in August, can’t wait to get my hands on this new way to display your personal photos!

Bali dreaming

The weather here in Sydney right now is horrible.  And the forecast is rain, rain and some more rain.  Temperatures around 9 to 18 degrees.  I know that is not even cold compared to some parts of the world but I just love warmth.  I am well and truly a summer girl and I always will be.  Hence the title Bali dreaming!  Taken on our trip in December whilst at Tanah Lot.  Take me back!!
